Hello there!
Our story began in Battersea, where a friendship turned into a partnership.
At the time, we were both standing at a career crossroads. Bia was moving away from the corporate world of Office Design & Build, looking to get back to more personal, creative work. Louise was ready to trade a successful career in high-finance for her true passion: interiors.
Over coffee, we realized that our different backgrounds were actually our biggest strength. We shared the same vision for what a home should be, but we approached it from complementary angles. Bia brought the architectural rigour; Louise brought the financial strategy.
We founded Fig on that balance. We wanted to create a studio where the design is beautiful, the process is transparent, and the result is a home that genuinely works for the people living in it.
How We Work
We are hands-on and collaborative. We work together to define the creative concept and layout, and then we play to our specific strengths. Bia leads the architectural and technical design, ensuring the space flows perfectly, while Louise manages the sourcing, the budget, and the schedule, ensuring the project stays on track.
Meet the duo behind Fig:

I have always been torn between two loves: the precision of architecture and the expression of dance. Growing up in Brazil, I spent my time drawing plans or moving to music. Today, I use both. My architectural training ensures a room works technically, while my background in dance helps me understand how people move through a space.
After over 15 years in the industry (and a realization that the commercial office sector wasn’t for me) I co-founded Fig to focus on what matters: creating residential spaces that have personality and flow. I love the puzzle of a renovation, taking a difficult layout and finding the solution that unlocks the potential of the home.

I grew up in Paris in a family that was half “geek” and half creative: engineers on one side, artists on the other. I started on the analytical path, moving to London to manage complex deals in asset servicing. But after years in finance, I missed the creative side.
So, I retrained in interior design and found that my background was actually my secret weapon. I love the aesthetics, but I approach a project like a detective (I am a huge Agatha Christie fan). I enjoy tackling storage challenges and maximizing space, but I also keep a close eye on the numbers, ensuring you get the best design value for your budget.
